Aylesbury should be a cycling town. It's flat, it's the right size, it's only lacking well thought through cycling infrastructure. It would be fantastic if there were safe cycling routes for every secondary school child.
Pedestrian/cycle railway crossing
This crossing has been closed for over two years, and this has cut off Stoke Mandeville and much of south Aylesbury from the gemstone cycle network. Reinstating this crossing, and improving cycling infrastructure generally in this area, is essential.
Train lines to London need to be much faster. Aylesbury line is ridiculously slow considering how close we are.
If we are serious about becoming a garden town then we should create green areas. Aylesbury has a dearth of greenery and beautiful open spaces. Someone needs to be bold and knock down some of the urban wasteland to create these spaces. One of the few nice green areas in Aylesbury is the parkland around Hartwellhouse and Fairford Leys. In my opinion the only attractive approach to Aylesbury. Don’t let this be dessimated by hs2.
Lots of lovely green spaces around Aylesbury. Could be perfect for a community fruit tree orchard.
This is a beautiful historic square which is spoilt by cheap casinos and betting shops. It would be amazing to see a café culture embraced here, with lots of seating outside, nice cafes and wine bars. This is what Aylesbury is missing and it would draw so many people to the town and give it a much needed revamp. I recently came back from the Hague and they have similar squares. They've embraced the history of the place, planted beautiful flower beds and lights in the trees; making them an attractive place for people to meet after work or relax at the weekend. These are the type of places we need to look at.
Can something be done to improve the no.8 Bus service for this area? the recent cancellation of the service for welbeck and Ingram Avenues has made life difficult for a number of elderly residents and this together with frequent cancellations and change of bay in the bus station makes life very difficult again for the many elderly people who live here.
Kingsbury square is a complete mess with some of the most expressive flower boxes in the South of England. What visitors to this part of the town think doesn't bear thinking about.
There are real trip hazards in this area due to the dangerous condition of the pavements. They need to be dealt with as a matter of urgency
The environment in and around this area.
The lifts in the upper hundreds car park are disgusting and the environment in the immediate vicinity is a disgrace. Anyone visiting Aylesbury for the first time would be appalled
The appalling condition of the pavements in the Bedgrove area.
The pavements in the Bedgrove area are in a dreadful state and in some places are downright dangerous particularly for elderly residents.
Please remove the graffiti on the traffic signage board close to the traffic lights at Paradise and Sir Henry Lee. It has been there for years, comprises of D, scissors and lines. Aylesbury Garden Town should be graffiti clear. Are there any plans to have all roundabouts sponsored for landscaping, such as the "Bees Knees" garden on the roundabout towards Berryfields.
Local Park near our part of Berryfields
Where is our road on the Berryfields estate? The park near Darcy Rd is a disgrace and I can't believe it was professionally built? It's taken an absolute age to do and the ground is littered with building rubble etc.
It would be nice to see the High Street regenerated. To a more inviting area.
Canal tow path
Just a small section of tow path to be re-surfaced and we with have an excellent cycle/walkway from the town centre to Aston Clinton.
Parks and child friendly spaces
Love to see more open spaces for children, playing fields, playgrounds and open spaces to walk safely with babies and children.
pop up cafe on nice days
better lighting and properly marked running tracks. Open air exercise classes eg tai chi
Reduce aircraft noise from planes approaching Luton
Parent parking stopping traffic
At the end of school, one or both sides of this road (from A413 to A41) is always blocked by parents. They leave no spaces for cars to pass, so often you can wait for a very long time for traffic to clear from the mini roundabout to be able to drive down the road.
It is dangerous for students also.
roads and footpaths
I am appalled at the state of the roads and footpaths in central Aylesbury. A lot of work goes into laying footpaths and roads with bricks/slabs. But as soon as workmen arrive and dig up the road/footpath a load of tarmac is slapped down. It looks awful. I lived in Holland/Belgium for 15 years and when workmen dug up the road they had to put it back the way it was. Surely this could be done in Aylesbury. I have seen what a lovely job has been done on The Exchange. But give it a couple of years and I expect it to be a complete mess like the rest of Aylesbury town centre. The rule should be that if a contractor digs up a road/pavement they have to restore its original condition.
A decent ring road would be great for all those that don’t want to visit just pass through
Please try to replace traffic lights to roundabouts with maybe traffic lights at peak times? I’m no expert but please try it out on some congestion hotspots around the town.
Great place to walk around well done to all involved. Toilets are in desperate need of refurbishing.
Great venue but rather expensive for the average attendee. Have they thought about last minute ticket availability at a reduced cost?
Well done on the new square outside the cinema looks great. Trouble is it really dates the old cobble square by the clock tower. I appreciate it’s probably listed but desperately needs bringing into the 21st century.
Tree lined streets and redevelopment of the older commercial buildings to give the area new life and appeal for all ages.
Also new sports facility making good use of the outdoors.
Engines are never turned off while buses are stationery and it makes the whole tunnel smell and feel polluted. Absolutely unnecessary and environmentally unfriendly.
Aqua Vale is great. Would be fantastic to have improved parking to reduce the parking lottery you encounter at busy times.
Fantastic traffic free path and cycleway. Opportunities for other greenways linking other communities around Aylesbury (Stone and Stoke Mandeville and the first examples that spring to mind)
Fairford Leys Playing Fields
This is a fantastic massive open space for dog walkers and footballers. Opportunities for more landscaping to create more of a "country park" feeling, with maybe the addition of a playground/adventure play area, and different walking/running routes? With the demise of the golf club due to HS2, you could extend the park for the whole length of Fairford Leys to provide a great open space for local residents, and a green barrier between the town and the high-speed rail line.
Would love to have better rail connections for Aylesbury. A speedier service to London, more frequent and faster trains to connect with the Chiltern Main Line at Princes Risborough, and the long-promised re-instatement of services to Milton Keynes.
Sainsburys or not?
If Sainsburys aren't going to build a hypermarket there, how about tearing the hoarding down and turning the space into a park? It's been so long that there are some lovely mature trees now.
Pedestrian Crossing between Town Centre and Cambridge St. Retail Park
This crossing always causes congestion in both ways on New St. due to the number of people using it, and the amount of times the traffic lights change. There has to be a better way...
One of the greatest independent shops in the Town Centre.
Having a bypass/ring road is absolutely essential. The traffic getting through Aylesbury really restricts job opportunities as having to travel across town at rush hour will add over 2 hours a day to any commute. Those are real figures from experience!
The bollards which are permanently erected are not stopping individuals from driving along George street. Cars mount the pavement to get by. Not only is this dangerous for pedestrians it’s also a major concern for children leaving cotton socks Nursery. Better control is required and fines issued to road users not adhering to the bollards.
Ensure that the word GARDEN is respected in the decision making process
Cycle paths which are separate from the roads. Planting and maintainable of green landscaping makes a huge difference. Milton Keynes is a great example - the trees and shrubs can hide a multitude of ugly buildings.
Better bypasses to lessen traffic going into town. Better routes for commuters and shoppers to reach all parts of town
Boat basin open space
The hard landscaping around the boat basin looks really nice and makes an attractive route from the bus and train for children attending the schools around Turnfurlong. It might need more benches in the square when we get some warm weather.
This is a great new trail, safe for all ages and abilities to walk or cycle. I like the stylish seating/picnic tables. More like this around Aylesbury please.
This is a wonderful location for a crematorium, providing business for local pubs/restaurants. Maybe taxes can be reduced by not having a nearby Council owned facility.
Town Centre parking
If you want to kill off the town centre build on existing car parks, don't create new car parks and make it totally inconvenient to go to the cinema, theatre and shops.
Should hs2 actually happen. We should push for a station on the outskirts of town with good road infrastructure linking it to the main road system. This will make Aylesbury a more desirable and effective garden town offering links to the rest of the country.
The A41 should bypass Aylesbury as its already very busy at peak times. Effecting air quality and quality of life for those who live near it.
A41/Aylesbury Road roundabout
The A41/Aylesbury Road roundabout is a significant bottleneck for traffic. This needs a major rethink BEFORE a large increase in vehicles trying to join the road network in this area takes place!
Parking on Buckingham Park estate is a disaster! Cars crowd the streets making it difficult for emergecy vehicles and busses to manuvere.
Please can AVDC address the chronic lack of parking in the area and improve/subsidise the bus services.
Please can AVDC address the chronic lack of parking in the area.
Please can this be reopened midweek. Closure on wed/thu is inconvenient and will make the place more busy at weekend/peak times
Would be good to see this roundabout improved both in terms of traffic management when busy (clearer markings and introduction of boxes where appropriate) as well as investing in landscaping to make it less depressing.
The use of long grasses and simplified landscaping have made this stretch of the ring-road a lot nicer aesthetically.
Traffic problems and congestion
It might be good to make this a one-way road (or at least for parts of the day) to help increase safety and traffic congestion... having parking limited to drop-off/pick-up at school start/end).
Revisiting landscaping at the college
As a Garden Town, it might be nice to rethink the landscaping at this location to make it more open to the public... the security fencing makes the area look under siege... I'm sure more sensitive measures could be incorporated into a decent public garden here.
Bugle Horn Junction
This junction is dangerous once traffic volumes increase (was once only at rush-hour but is congested more frequently in the last couple of years). Measures should be taken to improve safety (mini-roundabout?).
It's great to have a supermarket of this type and size within walking distant not everyone has a car, it's also beneficial for health and congestion for people to walk. It will be a great shame and a huge loss especially to people leaving that side of town if the plans are not revised so the store can stay.
Collage/SHF grammar school
Wondering if someone could think about underground/aboveground footpath for our children attending to college and SHF Grammar school. It’s very dangerous place now and terrible traffic in the morning/evening because of road lights.
i do! Please incorporate smart traffic crossings, esp along friarage road, college road. Some of the worst traffic is caused by the pedestrian crossings timings such that it's possible to halt the traffic for considerable time as they all cycle to red.
Rush hour traffic pinch point
This junction has insufficient carriageway access for turning left from Western Link rd on to the A41 Bicester rd heading in to the town centre. This causes tail backs into the Berryfields housing estate and subsequently negatively impacts air quality at peak times - when children a travelling to school.
Proper cycle paths, similar to the cycle superhighways in London; not half-baked, shared pavements - if cycling is to be encouraged it needs to be safe.
Has consideration been given to opening up theno,d railway line from Broughton Crossing to wherever it goes as a cycleway and footpath. Sorry not sure where it goes to. This was mentioned in our Neighbourhood Plan consultations recently.
Traffic free path for walkers and cyclists between the train station and Waddesdon
We do not need a privately owned crematorium in the middle of Watermead when there will be a council owned one opening near Beirton shortly!
With all the extra houses and flats being built, traffic is drastically increasing. Chiltern Avenue is used as a cut through making residents journeys even more dragged out as they have to queue to get down their own road, and also suffers with people speeding down it when it's not busy. Due to the volume of cars using it as a cut through there is a lot or traffic trying to join Oxford Road/A418 which results in many accidents. A large majority of people do not stick to the 30 speed limit on Oxford Road/A418 throughout the entire day, speed calming measures are a priority, it does not feel safe walking on the pavement or trying to cross the road with drivers who totally disregard the speed limit.
Green spaces between communities
Green spaces should be kept between local villiges and Aylesbury to prevent urban sprawl and villiges losing their identities.
Put a safe pedestrian and cycle crossing across the railway line and reinstate Topaz Cycleway.
spend money improving the shopping centres and services that are already here ,incentives for businesses to take on empty retail units , more opportunities for independent retailers .
Bus Service Improvement?
Later & Sunday buses to provide better service for evening commutes would be great. Also, bus service to Berryfields/Aylesbury Vale Parkway to allow for rail commuters and those wishing to travel to the (soon to be moved) Doctor's Surgery.
Bus Station Entrance
Make entrance from road to bus station more pedestrian friendly.
Better public transport, ideally with an integrated (contactless?) payment system.
Buckingham Park for instance is to have its Doctors Surgery moved to Berryfields, but there is no available public transport from here to there without passing through the centre of town. We also have no buses on Sunday, and limited hours outside of that which make commuting on the return journey difficult.
Improve the shopping facilities.
The pavement on Walton Street outside the new university building needs improving.
There is a lovely footpath that goes from Oakfield Road, through the new Canalside estates, but terminates just before the canal bridge. The footpath needs to be extended so it goes over the canal bridge and meets the tow path on the other side of the canal.
The council should trim the vegetation along the pavement on this area as it greatly reduces pedestrian access. The vegetation has encroached over around half the pavement, causing pedestrians, cyclists and dog walkers to need to walk on the grass verge to avoid other pavement users, particularly fast cyclists, prams and mobility scooter users.
Please improve the quality of the path for walkers and cyclists and extend it to make access to new Haddenham cycle path.
Improved entrance /exit and parking facilities (lighting) and organisation would make this a more attractive to use. Grid lock is too common at weekends.
Fantastic venue and the variety of shows is getting better all the time. A highlight of the town.
This junction by The Bugle Horn is an accident black spot. Traffic calming measures and junction improvement is a high priority for safety reasons
Improve cycling Access
30 mph limit to be moved back
The 30 limit starts at one of the houses on crispin street and it's only 50m away from crossing for school children. The cars drive there very dangerously and very rarely slow down. The limit needs to be moved further out.
Congestion out and around berryfields
Traffic is always really bad during rush hour.
Creating a pleasurable environment, protection of key areas such as Heartwell House, Quarrendon Lees. Giving community spaces such as Whitehill, Vale Park, riverside walk.
Quarrendon Lees, site of St Peters Church and old Tudor house
This area should be carefully managed as a green space, quiet and relaxing area.
However many people do not know it is here. We should improve access and conserve the former village remains but we could also rebuild features and create new facilities to create an attraction.
Area-wide 20mph speed limits for residential areas. This is commonplace in many parts of the country and the community benefits are well known.
Safe cycle routes would encourage healthy lifestyles and ease traffic.
It gets dangerous with all the cars and children at school finish time in particular and a pedestrian crossing would improve safety.
Congestion getting in and out of Berryfields is ridiculous. Essentially one road for such a large development which backs everything up. Another exit onto Martin Dalby way would help but generally Aylesbury needs improved road infrastructure for all the increased population.
There isn't much to be improved on such an amazing garden town with a lot of events happening all summer. It's always a good surprise when you don't have much to do during a summer weekend and you head to one of the local parks and there is always something special happening as there is always an event happening which I specially love.
If there is any room for improvement I would suggest having more team building game competition happening in parks aimed for businesses and/or families in which the money raised could go to local charities.
Pedestrianising the town centre and connecting some of the town squares would be really cool. I would like to see more made of the canal, as well as better management of all of Aylesbury's green spaces, including roundabouts & road verges. Let areas grow longer and manage for biodiversity & wildlife, rather than mowing everything short. Let's make the most of being a "Garden" town and allow our public green space to bloom & flourish!
Whilst it’s important to encourage walking and cycling, it’s still important to have the town accessible to all and there would be a huge need for a park and ride.
Far more cycle paths that are linked up with safe crossing points.
Railings for safety
To protect school children, railings down the bus lane would be good
There should be a cycle path over from exemplar park to Hayden hill to make better use of links to fairford leys and businesses
Traffic lights or pedestrian crossing or tunnel linking the parks
Quite dangerous to cross these public spaces
A cross company travel pass for bus and train was promised by TfB many years ago when new machines were introduced on buses for concession bus pass holders but it never materialised. This would be very useful to have for regular public transport users.
Aylesbury Bus Station
Aylesbury Bus Station is a black spot for mobile phone signals and Wi-Fi. Friars Square Shopping Centre has Wi-Fi so it would be very useful to have Wi-Fi in the Bus Station and perhaps some form of mobile phone signal relay too. When you are in the Bus Station it is one of the times when you most need a connection to the outside world.
The road desperately needs a zebra crossing. It’s a busy road with 2 schools on it. The amount of times I’ve seen children wait for ages and then chance it because cars don’t stop.
Nothing new just better road system
The road also needs to be changed from 60mph to maybe 40mph AND put in a change of junction at the crematorium road. The visibility to the left leaving crematorium is poor and people won't be able to get out. A roundabout may help.
A revamped town centre with better shopping mall and big fashion retailers.
Better rail links to Milton keynes, Oxford, bicester, midlands etc.
A business park with incentives for big companies to take up office space
It is a real shame to see that Broughton lane has become such a rat run with the new housing estate, especially as the road is not suitable for such a large amount of traffic, the new road link should have been put in first. Broughton lane is no longer safe to walk along, a pathway needs to be created for pedestrians.
It is really good to see the market still running in the town and the food stalls on a Friday are great. It would be good to see some disabled parking bays, as most of the banks are in the Market square now, rather than the out of town banks and I feel this would really help our community.
Alfred Rose Park
I think this is one of the best parks in the town, in the summer it is lovely to see it being used by the community.
Definitely needs to feel more welcoming, apart from going to the Nationwide, there would be no other reason why I would go there.
I think the Theatre is fantastic, I love going to see the shows, but the tickets are very costly for some and often when I go there are many empty seats, why not offer these out if the show is not sold out, surely better that some price is paid for them.
More Leisure activities for young people, an hours free parking in the town to help the businesses.
Canal Path by the new Broughton Housing
I walk along the canal at least four times a week to work, I wanted to say how much difference it has made having the path from the stanhope road estate to town and from the Broughton ponds to Arla, but when will the middle section of the path be completed, it seems such a shame that the job is only hald completed and so therefore id not fit for purpose for easy walking or cycling.
Canal path by Tescos
I walk along the canal path at least four times a week to work and really appreciate the new path, but it is so disappointing to see all the rubbish by the rear of Tescos. I love the fact that they do so much for the local community, but they do need to look at their own back yard and the damage they are doing to our local environment, it really is a disgrace and I feel that they should be held to account for this problem.
More disabled parking is needed, particularly near the High Street and Market Square. Closing half of the High Street to vehicles reduced access for people with disabilities to those shops.
The bus station toilets are an absolute disgrace, the water is cold the taps are loose not a very nice place at all the bus station and bus services need to be improved, the buses are cold dirty and noisy, especially the buses that serve the Aylesbury to Watford service, (a 2 hour journey) Also the walkways and pavements around Aylesbury are terrible especially for wheelchair users, not a very good advert for residents or visitors considering we were the Town that introduced the paralympics.
Aylesbury Waterside Theatre
Have seen some great shows here but feel they need to advertise more, and more giveaways!
Complete north/south by-pass should start here, providing seamless A41 to Bicester & M40 taking all transiting traffic out of the town- a relief L-O-N-G overdue
Complete North/South by-pass should start here providing seamless through route to transiting traffic - keeping it out of the town centre
Complete North/South bBy-pass for the town - i.e. extend A41 (Aston Clinton by-pass) to the A41 to Bicester. Plenty of '106' money available from all the new housing
Local council discourages people from visiting with exorbitant parking charges. Pay the same - or less - in MK and look at the choice of shops available
New home developments
We need builders to fix the footpath properly after digging them up
Nice to see small local businesses being able to thrive.
too many grid locks and congestion for a small town.
Getting out of aylesbury from Hawkslade takes 14 minutes. 1/2 mile.
Driving to princes Risborough takes 11 minutes.
getting home can take me 20 minutes to get past stoke mandeville, the hospital and into hawkslade.
This is just pure and bloody silly.
Small town, really poor traffic planning.
A bypass to stop grid lock
Car parks and over priced buses
If you want to encourage people into Aylesbury,m lower the ridiculous car park fees and make evening charges cheaper, they used to be a flat fee. Greed is not acceptable. Deal with it.
Buses - why so over priced?
make them cheap and people will use them.
A taxi into town is cheaper than a bus.
parking the car is cheaper than a bus.
Ask your selves. Why do you think this makes sense?
This offers a great opportunity to upgrade and improve the square, as at the moment it feels rather unwelcoming. There is lots of space for outdoor seating in potential restaurants and cafes. At the moment if feels dilapidated and run down.
Extend the widening and paving of the towpath towards the east, past oakfield road and the bridge at Broughton Lane.
Better cycle and walking routes around and across town - currently all bike routes stop at the edge of town and then to cycle legally you have to join teh main routes to go around town.
I think this is a lovely addition to the town, it’s modern and attractive, brings people to the town and has a good variety of shows on offer.
A splash park would be an awesome addition to the vale park, it would be a fantastic, popular addition for the younger community. I know many people that travel to other towns just to use these so would potentially draw more visitors to aylesbury town too
More worth while shops, a primark would Be a huge contribution to what is currently on offer.
A homeless shelter (not sure if we already have 1 but there are a lot of people visibly living on the aylesbury streets, we need to show we care more.
A splash park would be awesome for the children during the summer months.
bridge over thame
need a bridge to link haydon hill/ fairford leys to new station and waddesdon greenway
Never knew this existed until Soapbox Derby started but a lovely central park.
only park in town with reasonable parking to be used as a destination park. could bring people into town with splash park or summer beach etc
needs to be more accessible. cheaper/ free short stay parking for shoppers. more cycle parking and cycle routes that go across and into town rather than getting to town and then stopping (eg route in from bierton ends in a one way street at cambridge st so you can't use it to cycle, legally, to the railway station or bus station)
MEadowcroft park and streams
Great facilities at Meadowcroft and along the river - could do with promoting more (and linking to watermead with better crossing facilities/ bridge/ underpass at a413)
Lovely park, could be promoted more.
More parking facilities, better lighting on local paths to access it. Great facility
Fill empty shops
A Primark store would be a huge asset to Aylesbury, either on Broadfields where there are large empty units, or in the town centre, the BHS site is perfect, it’s a bit big for the charity shop that is currently there.
So muh better with play area and circular path. It gets so much more use.
Yes. It is important that leisure is fully considered and as wide a range of leisure especially health oriented leisure is catered for. This should cover a wide range of ages and abilities.
Given that HS2 has reduced substantially the abililty to Play Football and Golf, this should be replaced as a matter of urgency along with other feeder activities
Stop building on the fields and we don't want HS2.
This is the first thing that needs addressing before ANY new building. Every time there is a tiny hiccup on the roads Aylesbury comes to a standstill. My school had to postpone start of lessons until 9.45 at least 4 times last year because the taxis that bring the students in were sitting in gridlock.
A lovely facility but needs more car parking to make is community friendly. Not all users can walk there
Much more to encourage personal and family wellbeing. Green space and natural outdoor exercise that doesn’t feel threatening. Variety of housing that is affordable for all age groups.
Queens Park Arts Centre
More signage required so people know how to find this hidden gem. It is the only Arts Centre like it in the country - we should be shouting this from the roof tops!
Parking at the pavillion and playing fields needs looking at. It is carnage when football teams are playing there.
The roads in Berryfields
The parking provision in this development is poor. The roads are like "playing dodgem cars". More parking provision is required for residents living there.
Boulevard Exchange Street and connect the canal basin/ theatre area to the rest of the town. Better cycling and walking infrastructure and more trees and greenery to improve air quality and sense of wellbeing.
As currently Aylesbury's tree canopy cover is, according to the Woodland Trust, only 13%, there is an ideal opportunity for the Garden Town to address this shortcoming by having a Policy which stipulates that tree canopy cover should, for example, be at least 20% of the total area of the all new housing developments of more than half a hectare.
Most of the local roads
Am I alone in noting the irony that the highways have more weeds than the local parks and that the uncleared channels around here are the first step towards making the whole area look like a garden?
Aylesbury Methodist Church Community Centre
A town centre facility focused on small organisations and helping those most in need. Room, hall and church are available to all at very reasonable rates just to break even on running costs, the place is run and managed by volunteers
Town centre shopping needs improvement
Aylesbury Sports Club
First class tennis, squash, racketball , bowls, cricket, table tennis, full time tennis coach and kids training every Saturday
park with big football pitch
we need JD
we need primark in this town centre
great place to hang out
food good and cheap
Aylesbury has not got the capacity on the roads to deal with current traffic, let alone more, your traffic planning is rubbish, no thought to continued movement thus lowering emitions
park off Northern Road
the area could be an adventure park. Desperatley needs something to be there
sport facilities planned on new development
great idea, especially the velodrome.would be great to have this locally for up and coming cycling stars!
can watch stuff there
Shopping and car parks
We need to make Aylesbury a more attractive place to come and visit and to shop in, but lack of shops and expensive car parking make it an easy choice to go to Milton Keynes or other towns. If we want Aylesbury to thrive, stop charging the earth to park in town. How can it be more expensive to park in Aylesbury than nearby towns? Our range of shops is also terrible.... Big retailers like Primark, The Range, Debenhams would be a huge selling point for the town.
The whole town is congested as a result of ineffective traffic lights where roundabouts could be reinstated to better keep traffic moving. This would also decrease light pollution and standing traffic. In addition roundabouts must be lower maintenance cost and could be landscaped to add to the natural appeal. Junctions at watermead, berryfields and the horse and jockey would all be significantly improved by putting roundabouts where traffic lights sit currently. We already know that traffic moves better when the lights are out and it would encourage more drivers to use the link roads where currently they continue to use the town roads because it takes too long to wait for the lights! Arla traffic is particularly bad for this.
with expansion of housing this surely is a necessity
Bad pavement. not suitable for walking. especially difficult for old people
Before they started to build on Oakfield there were good foot routes between the Grand Union and Broughton. you now have to walk along an increasingly busy and dangerous road. Put a pathway in where there is a well trodden mud trail.
filthy litter all along the towpath. Hold businesses to account for the litter and waste they cause
The food market is nice
Lovely green space a stones throw from the town centre.
Car parking in broadfields and transport in and out.
The current entrance and car parks are not fit for purpose. Cars get stuck in traffic trying to get in and out. Particularly bad if going to Halfords/dunelm/tk maxx. It should be redesigned, with different entrance and exit points, as well as a more sensible car park layout.
more hospital parking to avoid residential areas getting overrun by double parking
Brook by Buckingham Park
Brook would be a lovely green space if river cleared and area enhanced
would like to see an hmv in aylesbury again save going to wycombe or mk
make the drivers switch off their polluting engines as instructed by the notices.
Is a nice park to spend time in
Make the town center more accessible for people in wheelchairs.
Aylesbury as a whole
stop building houses and built some roads
need to sort out backlog on a418 through Stone in evening
nice green space
buses going in the wrong bays
